1.  Once saved by God's grace one does not remain in the same state as before.  2Cor. 5:17

2.  Growing in Christ we recognize that without Christ we can do nothing; but in Him we can do all things.  John 15:5; Phil. 4:13

3.  Growing in Christ means walking with the Spirit of God daily.  Rom. 8:11.

4.  When we grow in Christ daily the fruit of the Spirit is manifested in our lives.  Gal. 5:22-25; Eph. 5:8, 9.

5.  Growing in Christ involves studying the word of God daily or frequently.  2Tim. 2:15; Ps. 119:11.

6.  As we grow in Christ the gifts of the Spirit will be manifested in us.  Eph. 4:8.  

7.  The purpose of the spiritual gifts is bring us all into the unity of the faith.  Eph. 4:9-13.

8.  Growing in Christ also involves sharing the word of God with others.  John 17:18, 20; Mat. 28:19, 20.

9.  Growing in Christ involves 'dying' daily to the sins in our lives; this happens through the spirit of God in us.  Rom. 12:9, 10, 12, 13.

10. Growing in Christ is a necessary preparation for living in God's new earth.  Rev. 3:5; 21:7.
